I haven't much time with it at all- too busy with big ceil and funky junk! Those 2 are a match made in heaven on snare. I just made a 5 hours test between Big Ceil compressor against Vertigo VSC-3 and it was the first compressor from AA that is at the same level as VSC-3, super hi-fi sound with that low-mid rich body. But after 30 minutes of resting my ears I came to the conclusion that the low end of vertigo was still a tiny bit more consistent and the low-mid was tiny bit more upfront. Ceil (repeating that is VERY close to Vertigo) was more gluey and made the vocals get more inside the drum beat. But for the first time I saw a AA compressor get in the same level as VSC-3 for my electronic music mastering. Than I think to myself, how a Focusrite channel strip compressor can be so close to a Vertigo mastering compressor plugin? Anyone here thinks different?
